*Sunstroke and more pictures*

My sincere apologies for having not updated as regularly as I should have been over the past couple of days - I took the sunshine for granted and (with red hair and freckles) stayed out far too long in the sun and have had sun stroke on and off for the last week. It's going to be hard to sleep tonight - I can't imagine how bad it would be if I was wearing a t-shirt and not a 3/4 length. Argh! I'm so foolish!

And as promised, some lovely vintage ephemera for everyone:

Above is the original scan with that old paper feeling to it.

Here's the grayscale version - kind of noisy and not very solid, so I played with the levels a bit and I'm posting this one, too:

I like the one above the best - I think it gives a more clear look. And I love that it's mail oriented (hurray for snail mail!)

Fairy and the Hare

Again - from a childrens book a picture of a fairy and a hare/rabbit

Fat Frog Little Frog

From a childrens storybook - I had to fix this one up as there was a big tear running through half of the fat frog/toad.

Two Foxes Running

Two foxes running from old childrens book.

Sparrow and Two Nuthatches

Sparrow and two nuthatches.

Children with Animals

Children from a fairy tale riding the back of a cow, with sheep.

Grandpa on the carousel

Two children (one with a balloon) watching their grandfather ride on the carousel. You're never too old to ride the carousel.

Vintage Cats

This pair of a black and white cat seem to be under some mistletoe and in an amorous mood.

Country Mouse and City Mouse

From the old childrens story, Country Mouse, City Mouse - I found this in a book with a series of childrens stories featuring two mice - one dressed in country/work clothes and the other dressed more dashing.

Herd of Pigs

This was nabbed from a childrens book - it's a herd of pigs rather than the more typical herd of sheep, along with a girl and boy herder.
